Magic Store

A magic store specializes in acquiring and selling magical goods and tools. They are generally geared towards two separate types of people, magicians and believers in the occult. Magicians are not trying to convince anyone that what they are doing is supernatural, but merely entertaining with complex tricks that aren’t understood by the audience. Often the trick is very simple, which is why it must be hidden from the viewers.

A magic store for magicians has the basic items used by magicians, such as playing cards, as well as some more complex items used for in depth tricks such as sawing an assistant in half, or making them disappear. Special ropes and rings and many smaller parlor tricks are available. Material to learn magic is also generally stocked in these places, often with a well trained staff that might assist a fellow magician.

A magic store for people who believe in the occult and supernatural powers will have an entirely different stock of items. They specialize in magical artifacts as well as new items such as magic wands, crystal balls and tarot cards. This is the place people who believe in casting real spells go to, and they often have someone who knows about the occult, and is almost always willing to share information. They offer many unconventional ways of attracting or repulsing people with supposed ancient magic and spell casting.
